July 31, 2010, Memorial Ride
for Cpl Zachary Nordmeyer
We attended the
Memorial Ride for our Fallen Hero Cpl Zachary Nordmeyer
yesterday and it was an honor to be able to do so!! Though
it rained, we had a beautiful day reflecting with Zachary's
wonderful family and friends and helping raise money in
Memory of Zachary for Operation Comfort Warriors.
The website to
the Indianapolis Star article from yesterdays Memorial Ride
for Zachary is here....

It was an honor
to be able to be there and to help raise money for Operation
Comfort Warriors. Thanks again to all who have been buying
our shirts this year as we were able to give them a check
for $900.00 in total for this years "Have you thanked a
Veteran for your FREEDOM today?" shirt sales!!!

Here is a short video clip that all our sons and daughters and grandkids need to see before it is forgotten and is too late...... FREEDOM is NOT FREE!!! It is bought and paid for with the lives of our loved ones!! It is not guaranteed and must be protected and fought for so that our children and their children will have the same FREEDOMS we enjoy today..... I fought for YOU!!!!!! _______________________________________________________________________ The Freedom PT was designed and built to say, "Thank you to all who have fought for our Freedom for you shall live forever in our hearts." This includes the families of all Veterans and active Service Heroes who have fought and are still fighting to preserve our Freedom as well as all Firemen, Police, and EMT's who fight everyday to keep our streets safe so we can sleep at night. Dedicated to the brave men and women, heroes one and all who have made our freedom possible.
Freedom PT celebrates the American Spirit, teamwork, optimism, courage and sacrifice of the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.
This is a tribute to the sacrifice andheroism of those men and women we will never forget!
Honoring our past to ensure our future.

Our Mission Our mission is to continue to raise the awareness that 'Freedom Is Not Free' and we all must always be thankful for what our Heroes have done and are continuing to do for us everyday. The sacrifices they and their families are making to preserve our Freedom should never go without notice and we should say 'Thank You' to every Veteran, Soldier, Fireman, Policeman, EMT AND their Families every time we see one. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T-Shirts for Sale We will be selling "Have you thanked a Veteran for your FREEDOM today?" t-shirts again this year as we travel around the country doing car shows!! The shirt design is totally awesome!! See the picture below... The price is $15.00 each. The money made from the sale of these shirts will go directly to 'Operation Comfort Warriors' through the Speedway, In. American Legion Post 500 in memory of our Fallen Hero, Cpl. Zachary R. Nordmeyer. Please go to www.legion.org/troops/operationcomfort to see all the great things this organization does and make a donation. Operation Comfort Warriors is a program dedicated to meeting the needs of wounded military personnel, providing them with comfort items not usually supplied by the government. OCW ensures that patients at U.S. military hospitals and warrior transition units are given items like sweat suits, DVDs, puzzles, electronic devices, books, calling cards and more. OCW also provides larger items such as ping pong tables, entertainment centers, computers, kayaks and other recreational goods for use by wounded warriors in common areas. If you want one of our shirts, please look at our schedule of events for 2010 on Our Events page (select the button to the left or,,,, right here) http://www.thefreedompt.com/Our_Events.htm to see where you can meet up with us to buy your shirt!! If you will be meeting us at a show, please send me an email (select the Contact Us button to the left) with your sizes and quantity at least 3 weeks before the show. This way we will be sure to bring enough shirts to the show. If you can't meet up with us and would still like a shirt, select the Contact Us button to the left to let me know how many shirts you will be interested in and what sizes - include your address. I will calculate the shipping cost and let you know how much and where to send the money. After I receive the money then I will send the shirts. Or if you are local (Indianapolis, In), let me know and we will meet some place to get you your shirts... The cost of shipping by USPS is $5.00 for one shirt of XL and smaller or $11.00 for XXL & XXXL and multiple shirts, as long as they fit into an 11x8.5x5.5 inch box. Or if you are local, let me know and we will meet some place to make a deal.... We are selling shirts again this year because we want to help the cause that the Nordmeyer family is supporting. Cpl. Zachary Nordmeyer was KIA Feb. 23, 2009 at the age of 20 while fighting for our FREEDOM. The Freedom PT is a tribute to him and his family as FREEDOM is NOT Free!!
Thank you all
for your support,

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank You Soldier Have you stopped to thank Veteran today? For the price of FREEDOM they had to pay? Did you gaze into those distant eyes? Did you see the ghosts he can’t deny? Did you think a Soldier’s heart is made of steel? Because he was trained to kill, he couldn’t feel? Did you see the guilt written on his face, For the loss of life he couldn’t replace? Did you know he mourns the lives he couldn’t save, And walks with comrades in their grave? Did you remember the boy with innocence lost? Do you really know war’s ultimate cost? Have you felt the blast of artillery fire? Do you have the courage it would require? Have you stood in the trenches consumed with fear? Felt the enemies breath so very near? Have you walked with God on a battleground? Seen your brothers dead or dying all around? Have you stopped to thank a Vet today? Or did you just turn and walk away? From the pain he’ll carry for the rest of his life? Did you consider his family, his children, his wife? That watch him suffer in silence each and every day, As he’s haunted by memories that don’t go away? Did you care that the Soldier is still pulling guard? That his heart, mind and soul will forever be scarred? Do you know how he suffers from PTSD? Or that our precious FREEDOM is never Free? Do you care that he still hears the blood curdling screams? Or that he returns to the war each night in his dreams? Have you felt of a combat Vet? Or would you rather just forget? That war has pierced his hardened heart, And torn this Soldier apart? Would you rather our Heroes just fade away? Or will you stop to thank a Veteran today? By Chris Woolnough
