Eligibility Here is a Message from Sgt. Klay
South, USMC, founder of Veterans of Valor; Welcome to Veterans
of Valor. I founded this organization in 2007 as a result of my own
experiences as a combat wounded veteran. While clearing houses during
the push into Falujah in 2004, I was shot in the face at point blank
range. What followed have been years of healing, both physically and
emotionally. I believe my experiences happened for a reason,
and that because of them I've been equipped with a special sense of what
it takes to assist and encourage recovering veterans and their families.
I believe that our story of hope and healing will inspire you.
Mesothelioma Web is
a great website for our Veterans fighting mesothelioma. We have prepared
the Veteran section of our mesothelioma web site for veterans of the
U.S. military services. Because there have been so many veterans exposed
to asbestos during their service in the military, veterans are
particularly at risk for mesothelioma. Throughout the 20th century the
Navy and other branches of the military had asbestos products in ships,
buildings, and other military facilities, and thousands of servicemen
and women came into contact with asbestos fibers. Mesothelioma Web
attempts to be the most comprehensive mesothelioma website on the
Internet. If you can’t find what you are looking for on our site, let us
know at 877-367-6376 and we will attempt to answer your questions.
Pleural
Mesothelioma and Veterans As a result of their
exposure during military service, U.S.
veterans account for a sizable percentage of
pleural mesothelioma patients. The group of veterans
most at risk is naval veterans and this is a result
of the mass amount of asbestos material used on
naval vessels. Navy veterans who worked in shipyards
or aboard vessels experienced more asbestos exposure
than the average member of the Armed Forces and can
claim benefits from the VA system for this
service-related condition.
PleuralMesothelioma.com's Veterans
Assistance Department can help you with questions
about veterans and asbestos-related illnesses or
about potential benefits.
Click on this link and fill out the form for more
information.
Veterans
and Mesothelioma Due to common military practices,
veterans who served between 1940 and 1970 have a
great risk of developing asbestos-related illnesses.
Additionally, Navy personnel and workers employed in
shipyards from the 1930s through the 1970s hold a
greater risk of developing a disease caused by
asbestos
exposure. Asbestos.com offers free assistance
with filing your VA claim and can make the process
much easier. Our Veterans Assistance Department
offers extensive experience in filing VA claims and
can help any veteran coping with mesothelioma
receive benefits from the VA system. For more
information or free assistance regarding VA
benefits, programs and eligibility, please call

Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base -
US Air Force during
the Vietnam War and today

Ubon RTAF is where I was stationed from June 1970 to June 1971. We were
with the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing working on the navigational equipment
mainly on the F4's. These F4's had a guidance system called LORAN C for
long range navigation and this was the system that was used to direct
the delivery of the bombs. They would get up in the air, punch in their
mission coordinates and fly their mission. If you were stationed in
Thailand during the Vietnam war, you might want to checkout these sites.
